TEEN BOARD
About the Teen Board
The Erika's Lighthouse Teen Board has been in existence since 2004. The Teen Board has had many successful projects, including: organizing and participating in the annual Walkathon, visiting schools to host panel discussions about depression, bringing awareness to our local communities through hosting an informational and facepainting booth in Winnetka and Wilmette Sidewalk Sales, participating in the 4 of July parade, fundraising, designing and printing educational bookmarks, and participating in a suicide education focus group with the Illinois Department of Public Health, NAMI, ILL Coalition for Suicide Prevention, The Midwest Chapter of the American Federation of Suicide Prevention and the Mental Health Assoc. of Greater Chicago. We meet monthly.
