How do I learn to teach the programs?
Empowering Schools for Sustainability
Using an Educate the Educator Model
The Educate the Educator model prepares school professionals to address student mental health in safe, developmentally appropriate ways. Educators can do this by normalizing conversations, building shared values and vocabularies, and being ready to assist students who may be experiencing mental distress.
Each of our classroom education programs offers an implementation plan. Access each plan on the Resource Portal under the Level I, II, or III pages by selecting Plan & Implement – How to Teach. Plans are available for both the standalone program and the Full program. An implementation training video is also available in which Erika’s Lighthouse staff walk you through key information.
