Erika's Lighthouse does not provide outside facilitators to deliver programs in schools. Our programs and efforts are focused on starting conversations about mental health — and once school professionals start those conversations, they continue. Young people want to talk about mental health. We believe that mental health programs should be taught and implemented by school staff to ensure the people teaching the program are available as potential trusted adults to students who may be experiencing depression, anxiety, or other mental health challenges. In limited circumstances, we have partnered with districts to provide more intensive, personalized staff training — however, this is not our standard practice.
