Equipping school communities with life-saving suicide awareness and prevention tools

Erika's Lighthouse is a non-profit organization dedicated to educating young people about mental health, reducing stigma, and preventing suicide. Schools in Arizona can leverage free Erika's Lighthouse resources, including staff training courses and classroom programs, to fulfill state youth suicide awareness and prevention training mandates.

State Requirements / Best Practice

Arizona's Mitch Warnock Act mandates that all school staff interacting with students in grades 6 through 12 receive suicide prevention training. Under this law, designated personnel are required to complete this training at least once every three years.
