Every student deserves the knowledge and tools they need to care for their mental health. At Erika’s Lighthouse, we believe this shouldn’t be a privilege—it should be a right.

That’s why our Team Resilience athletes are taking on the Sydney Marathon. They aren’t just running 26.2 miles; they are running to ensure that no student feels alone in their struggle.

Why We Run

The statistics are a rallying cry for us: 50% of mental illness begins before age 14, and suicide remains the second-leading cause of death for young people. We refuse to be overwhelmed by these numbers. Instead, we use them to fuel our mission to provide high-quality, evidence-informed depression education and suicide prevention curriculum to schools at zero cost.

Your Impact in Action

When you support a Team Resilience runner, you are directly funding the “Four Pillar Philosophy” that creates a positive school climate:

  • Classroom Education: Lessons that equip students with the vocabulary to speak honestly about mental health.
  • Empowerment Clubs: Student-led groups that change school culture and reduce stigma.
  • Family Engagement: Resources that turn parents and guardians into partners in mental wellness.
  • Policy & Staff Training: Ensuring educators have the 1:1 support and training they need to support their students.

The Difference You Make

Your donation has a measurable impact on the lives of students across the country:

  • 89% of students can better identify signs of depression after our program.

  • 93% of students believe we should be talking openly about mental health.

  • 91% of students feel they have the information and ability to take care of their own mental health.

Join the Mission

We address these serious topics with hope, positivity, and practical solutions. Every dollar raised by Team Resilience helps us reach one more student, one more classroom, and one more school.
