Shamelle Yemofio is an equity-centered college access and success advisor and mental health advocate with more than a decade of experience supporting students and families throughout their postsecondary journeys. She earned her B.A. in Public Policy from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and her M.A. in School Counseling from George Washington University. She is also a Dove Self-Esteem Project Cadre Trainer and believes that confidence is foundational to academic success.
In addition to her work in education, Shamelle is a children’s book author who believes deeply in the power of education to transform lives and expand opportunity. She remains committed to advancing equitable access to meaningful postsecondary pathways for all students. In her spare time, she enjoys trivia, puzzles and spending time with her family.
