Long-term change starts with conversations.
Young people want to talk about mental health. In fact, 93% of students believe we should be talking about it.Â
Our programs are focused on helping school professionals normalize these vital conversations that build lifelines to last a lifetime.
An Educate the Educator model.
Educating the educator prepares school professionals to tackle mental health in safe, appropriate ways. Educators can do this by normalizing conversations, building shared values and vocabularies, and being ready to assist students that may be experiencing mental distress.
Free turn-key resources that are easily adaptable.
Our programs and resources are easy to use and implement while also being adaptable for continued usage. Every student is different. So every program needs to be flexible to be effective. As an evidence-informed program, we recognize the importance of flexibility.
One-on-one support.
Every educator, counselor, social worker, school or district has access to Erika’s Lighthouse one-on-one support. Our Education Team is comprised of experts in education, public health, social work and counseling. We have been doing this work for 20 years and no school is different. We help every school find the right fit for them.
Recognizing every school is unique.
We recognize every school is unique. Our programs may not be the best fit for every classroom, school or district. But, every school needs to have universal mental health programs in place. And, ideally, all four pillars. You never know if your school is a good fit without speaking to us. We are in over 2,000 schools: urban, suburban, and rural.
Promoting Sustainability and Long-Term Change
Educators, schools and districts that have implemented Erika’s Lighthouse are equipped and prepared to continue offering mental health programs that best suit their needs. We will strive to be a strong partner with each, but know we are changing the face of schools forever.
